Online Support Groups

Women’s Led Online Support Group

This group is for all female-identifying individuals and is a safe space to talk about your recovery journey. Regardless of if this is your first day or first year in recovery, this group is here to support you.

You are in recovery when you say you are. We define recovery as being in recovery for a substance use disorder, alcohol misuse, for your behavioral health, disordered eating, or for risky behaviors, such as a sex and love addiction, self-harm, or gambling addiction. All are welcome to this meeting.

This group meets on the First Wednesday of the Month, and began at 5 pm ET. This group runs for one hour and is led by Wendy Behar.

Gatherings are an hour long and take place weekly using Zoom (a free video-conferencing service available for download on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Please allow extra time to install Zoom before joining your first meeting). You are welcome to join any meeting, although specified gatherings are intended to meet specific needs.

Please register before attending your first online support group. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation that includes the Zoom meeting link. We suggest logging on 10 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.

What to Expect for the Break Free Online Support Groups

Our groups focus on discussing real-life issues and applying evidence-based skills and techniques to help address them. Our groups meet you where you are at in your recovery journey and are an opportunity to connect with other individuals in recovery. We discuss specific issues related to substance use such as treatment, recovery, and relapse.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE MEETINGS ARE CLOSED MEETINGS FOR THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE MEETING ONLY.  If you are a student or professional interested in learning more about this service, please contact us at team@breakfreefoundation.org.
